Hazel Brow Farm

Overview
West of Reeth you’ll find this 200-acre organic working farm where you can interact with the livestock, discover nature trails and watch the sheep-shearing demonstrations and other events. April and May are the best months to see lambs. With tray bakes, fresh scones, carrot cake and perhaps a ‘Hazelbrowman’s lunch’, the organic cafe at Hazel Brow strives very hard to ensure as much of its produce as possible is certified organic. You’ll find an imaginative specials board keeps the savoury options fresh, and you can buy produce in the farm’s shop.

About the area
North Yorkshire, with its two National Parks and two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is England’s largest county and one of the most rural. This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
