Overview
Situated in the heart of Woodstock and set in attractive gardens, Fletcher’s House provides a home for the county museum. The museum is the product of an award-winning redevelopment. It celebrates Oxfordshire, and features collections on local history, art, archaeology, landscape and wildlife, as well as a gallery exploring the county’s innovative industries, from nuclear power to nanotechnology. Interactive exhibits offer new learning experiences for visitors of all ages. The museum’s purpose-built Garden Gallery houses a variety of touring exhibitions of regional and national interest. A display of dinosaur footprints from Ardley Quarry and a replica megalosaurus are located in the walled garden.
