Overview
This large museum has displays of railway memorabilia. The main attraction is the Britannia loco which is expertly engineered to an exact quarter size. There are model railways which operate by push buttons, and outside is a seven and a quarter gauge miniature railway that takes visitors through the landscaped grounds. For children there a mini-dodgems and a Tomy Tram ride. The buffet coach cafe serves refreshments inside an original carriage, and the shop sells an extensive range of railway related items including DVDs and toys.
