Overview
Set in 50 acres of magnificent parkland and gardens complete with winding pathways, rest areas and lakes, Banham Zoo is the place to see hundreds of animals ranging from big cats, such as cheetahs, ocelots and the gorgeous Snow Leopard, to birds of prey. There are also giraffes, zebras and red kangaroos; shire horses, snakes and monkeys. Animal locations include Tiger Territory, Lemur Island and Tamarin and Marmoset Islands. You can also take a woodland walk to see the flamingoes. The Farm Barn, with its domestic animals, is popular with children, as is the adventure play area. About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
