Park Cliffe Camping & Caravan Estate★★★★★
"Special Lakes destination with pods, huts and fine Windermere views."
Overview
Park Cliffe Camping & Caravan Estate is a lovely hillside park set in 25 secluded acres of fell land. The camping area is sloping and uneven in places but well drained and sheltered, and some pitches have spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the Langdales. The park offers a high level of customer care and is very well equipped for families (including family bathrooms) with The Fellside Bar serving breakfast and the River Box which offers delicious takeaway food (seasonal hours apply). Wooden pods (including an en suite family unit), a shepherd's hut, holiday cottage and three static holiday caravans are for hire.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
