Our Inspector's view
Set in five acres on the outskirts of town, this Georgian manor house was originally built for a ship's captain. Now a family-owned hotel it provides friendly service and a good range of facilities. Bedrooms vary in size and are located in the manor house and the garden wing. Various menus are available in the bar and the smart restaurant. There is a leisure club with an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a well-equipped, small gym; the water in the pool is UV filtered.
