Our Inspector's view

A luxurious 5 star country house hotel, The Nare is renowned for its stunning sea views and unobtrusive, traditional service. The hotel has a spectacular secluded coastal setting overlooking Carne Beach, and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and rolling countryside. It features elegant and individually designed rooms and suites adorned with fresh flowers, carefully chosen artwork, and antiques. Most rooms are spacious and have sea view balconies or terraces. Guests may choose to dine in the traditional Dining Room or the more relaxed Quarterdeck Restaurant, both which hold AA Rosettes for excellence and serve the finest fresh local seafood. There is a classic gentleman’s motor launch, Alice Rose, for guests to spend a day on the water in summer months and a comprehensive range of leisure facilities including a health spa. The Nare is also an ideal location to enjoy coastal walking and visit the Great Gardens of Cornwall.

About the area

Discover Cornwall & Isles of Scilly

Cornwall has just about everything – wild moorland landscapes, glorious river valley scenery, picturesque villages and miles of breathtaking coastline. With more than 80 surfing spots, there are plenty of sporting enthusiasts who also make their way here to enjoy wave-surfing, kite surfing and blokarting.

In recent years, new or restored visitor attractions have attracted even more visitors to the region; the Eden Project is famous for its giant geodesic domes housing exotic plants from different parts of the globe, while nearby the Lost Gardens of Heligan has impressive kitchen gardens and a wildlife hide.
