Letocetum Roman Baths and Museum (NT)
Overview
Explore the remains of this once important Roman staging post, including 'mansio' (Roman inn) and bathhouse. The site is entirely open-air and manned by volunteers, who are happy to provide more detailed information on the site on the last weekend of every month from March to October. Letocetum is under the guardianship of English Heritage.
About the area
Staffordshire features lofty moors, deep dales and tremendous views of both. Further south are the six sprawling towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent, which historically have had such an impact on Staffordshire’s fortunes, not to mention its culture and countryside.
