Overview
Explore York's Viking history on the very site where archaeologists uncovered remains of Jorvik, the Viking-age city. This innovative attraction features a ride through a recreation of Viking York, complete with authentic sights, sounds and smells. Visitors can hear Vikings speaking in different languages, as Jorvik was a multi-cultural and dynamic city. The museum gallery features precious 1,000-year-old artefacts, with interpretation provided by the Centre’s real life Vikings. Over the school holidays, all customers must pre-book their tickets to JORVIK Viking Centre. Visitors who haven’t pre-booked will be asked to do so for the next available slot.
