Situated close to the Essex border and the River Stour, this 15th-century inn overlooks the village green and is just two minutes’ walk from a medieval church. Roaring log fires in winter and an alfresco dining terrace in summer, make this a stylish setting all year round for the skilfully created and beautifully presented modern British food.
