"Inventive cooking from a local culinary hero."
Overview
Sosban & The Old Butcher's Restaurant is certainly a one-off dining experience. There is only room for eight guests at each service and it only happens three evenings a week. Once you’ve bagged your table inside this compact former butcher’s shop you hand over the controls to the prodigiously talented Stephen Stevens, who leads you through a parade of no-choice dishes during the four hours you should allow from start to finish. Expect boundaries to be pushed, memorable presentation, and mightily impressive flavours in off-the-wall combinations. Show more

About the area
Some of the oldest rocks in Britain form the 125-mile coastline of the 85 square mile Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which includes Holy Island with its busy port of Holyhead, the terminus for the Dublin ferry. The terrain inland is mainly a fertile plateau worn flat by the action of the sea, with low ridges and shallow valleys, while the sheer limestone cliffs of the east coast and on the north coast at Holyhead Mountain represent some of the most spectacular sea cliffs in Britain
