Grebe – Daisy Broad★★★★
Overview
Grebe is one of four delightful Norfolk Broads cottages, thoughtfully created on the riverside where old boatyard sheds once stood. Its appealing ‘upside-down’ design places the living area on the first floor, giving guests serene views across the working boatyard and the quiet backwater that leads to Daisy Broad. With ducks often visiting the waterside garden, this cottage offers a wonderfully peaceful setting for a relaxing break. Perfectly positioned, Grebe sits just 8 miles from Norwich, 11 miles from the coast, and only a ten-minute walk from Wroxham’s train station, shops, restaurants and traditional pubs. A day boat is provided free of charge outside school summer holidays and Whitsun week, giving guests an ideal way to explore the Broads at their own pace. Grebe has an adjoining door to neighbouring Coot, allowing both properties to be booked together for group stays accommodating up to 16 guests. 2 well-behaved pets are welcome (charges apply), and the cottage includes a range of modern comforts to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
