Riverview - The Boat House

Assessed by Visit England Logo
Overview
Perfectly positioned in the heart of the boatyard, Riverview offers a peaceful waterside escape with its own private deck overlooking the water. Designed in an appealing ‘upside-down’ style, the first-floor living area opens onto a balcony where guests can enjoy fantastic views of the river activity below. For those who love to be close to nature, fishing from the deck is a favourite pastime. Riverview is ideally placed for exploring the local area. A five-minute walk takes you into Wroxham and Hoveton, where you’ll find pubs, shops and restaurants. Travel 20 minutes by car and you can reach the coastline, home to stunning sandy beaches and incredible seal colonies. Head 20 minutes in the opposite direction and you’ll be in the centre of Norwich, a historic city known for its markets, culture, shops and restaurants. To help you explore the Broads, a day boat is included free of charge outside school holidays. Canoe hire is also available on-site. Riverview is part of the Boathouse building, situated beside two other waterside homes—Rivers Edge and Waterside. Two well-behaved pets are welcome (charges apply), and the property comes fully equipped for a comfortable and memorable stay.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
