The impressive Danesfield House was built in 1901 for Robert William Hudson, heir to a soap-flake business who commissioned several iconic buildings including the remarkable Gothic-style Stanhope House in central London. In 65 acres of formal gardens Danesfield has 60 sumptuous and beautifully furnished rooms and an elegant spa with luxurious treatments.
