Overview
Mallard is a spacious, detached waterside lodge designed in an attractive ‘upside-down’ style. The open-plan living area is located on the first floor to take full advantage of the sweeping views across the River Bure, marinas and boatyards. Large French doors open onto a furnished balcony, offering the perfect place to relax and watch river life drift by. Set beside the boatyard, Mallard enjoys a lovely garden overlooking the main river—an ideal spot for keen fishermen or anyone who enjoys the sights and sounds of the Broads. Comfortably furnished throughout, the lodge sleeps up to 8 guests in four well-appointed bedrooms. A day boat is included free of charge outside school summer holidays and Whitsun week. Canoes are also available to hire on site. During school holidays, guests benefit from a 10% discount on day boat hire. Just a short stroll away, Wroxham—known as the gateway to the Norfolk Broads—offers shops, pubs and restaurants, making Mallard an excellent base for discovering both the Broads National Park and the surrounding area. Two well-behaved pets are welcome (charges apply), and the lodge is fully equipped to ensure a relaxing and memorable stay beside the water.
