Riversedge – The Boat House★★★★
Overview
Beautifully positioned in the heart of the boatyard, Rivers Edge is a welcoming south-facing cottage overlooking the peaceful moorings on Daisy Broad. Its appealing ‘upside-down’ design places the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area on the first floor, where French doors lead to a balcony offering lovely, elevated views across the water. This self-catering cottage is just a five-minute walk from the villages of Hoveton and Wroxham, home to a wide selection of shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs. The nearby train station provides easy access to the historic city of Norwich. A day boat is available with the property and is provided free of charge outside school summer holidays and Whitsun week. Canoe hire is also available on-site. Rivers Edge sits within the Boathouse building alongside two other waterside holiday homes—Riverview and Waterside. Two well-behaved pets are welcome (charges apply), and the property is fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
